Poor Baby

Taylor got her first set of shots today. It broke my heart to see her getting FOUR shots!!! She screamed her poor little head off. To make it even worse, she had the sweetest smile on her face right before the nurse gave her the shots. Hopefully she won't have a fever or any bad side effects from her rotovirus vaccine. The dr said that there is a 10-15% chance of her actually getting sick from the vaccine since it is a live virus. :( Hopefully she will be the 85-90% of babies that are just fine. The good news: Taylor is now 23 1/4 inches long!! That is tall for a baby girl her age- 90th percentile I think!!! She weighs 11 1/2 pounds which is in the 50th percentile. The doctor said she looked really good and is growing perfectly! Yay!

Here is a picture of my poor baby taking a nap after her traumatic afternoon of shots!

Celebrating Daddy's Birthday

Taylor went to her frst official birthday party this weekend. First we went to the Hula Hut with Victor and Diane for Blake's birthday. She and Isabelle are already friends. Isabelle was born 8 days before Taylor, but Taylor is 2-3 inches longer than Isabelle! I have no idea where she gets that height from! This picture is of Taylor and her friend Isabelle.

Today we went to Joe's Crab Shack for Blake's, Wyatt's, and Caleb's birthdays. She had a great time hanging out with Grammy, who spoiled her by holding her most of the lunch! :)

New Baby Cousin

Taylor is no longer the newest member of the Josselet family! She has a new baby cousin Ryan. He seemed so small and light and it is hard for me to believe that just 2 months ago Taylor was that little. It is amazing how much they grow in just 2 months!! Ryan arrived early Saturday morning and they have already had their picture taken together (I will share that picture when I get it from Amber). Drew stayed with us on Friday while Ryan was being born. Taylor is going to have to be a tough little cookie to put up with her 2 boy cousins! :)

I love to SMILE!

Taylor has been smiling SO much lately. It is the sweetest thing ever! She discovers new things to smile at every day. Blake puts her feet in her mouth and she thinks that is the funniest thing ever. Tonight we put her on her little floor mat and she loved that (for a little while) and she smiled at all of the toys hanging from the bars. She has a sweet little toothless smile!

Easter

We went to Grammy and Pawpaw's for Taylor's first Easter. We all had a great time and Taylor was the cutest baby at church. Her little puffy Easter dress was adorable and her bow stayed in her hair the whole time!! After church we went to Grammy and Pawpaw's for lunch and an Easter egg hunt with cousins Wyatt, Julie, and Caleb. Taylor got a chocolate bunny and a "money" egg from Gram & Pawpaw and a pink stuffed bunny from us. It was really cold outside so she wore the little sweatsuit that I fell in love with and bought before she was born. She looked so cute in it. Blake put her hood on and she looked like a little baby thug. She was the cutest baby thug ever. All she needed was a gold chain and a gold tooth. She had a great first Easter. Did I mention how cute Taylor was?

Little Miss Photogenic

Amber came over to take some pictures of Taylor on Monday. They turned out really cute! Despite her funny faces that she makes most of the time, she always manages to pull off some really cute pictures.

Ham

Taylor is already a ham at 7 weeks old! She is so happy when she gets up from naps. I'm not too sure where she gets that from because neither Blake or I are morning people.

Bath Time

Taylor hasn't decided if she hates bath time or if she is indifferent. One thing is for sure- she doesn't love it. It really depends on her mood. Maybe that will get better with time. :)
