My first steps!!!

Taylor has been standing and balancing very well for some time now, but today she took a chance and took 2 steps all by herself!! No walker, no Mommy's hands, no coffee table to lean on!! She promptly fell on her behind after step #2, but she did it!!! After my thrill faded some, I have decided that I am a little scared... I have visions of a naked baby streaking through the living room... /sigh

Playing in the Water

I think the dog bowl has a Taylor magnet. She is SO drawn to it and everytime she crawls away from me, that is where she ends up, without fail. This time, there was no dog food to steal and treasure forever, so Taylor decided to take a little bath (check out her soaked sleeves all the way to her elbows!)... She was very proud of herself and after she was finished (or lost her balance) Nate had to survey the damage. Needless to say, Taylor got a bath after her adventure

Thanksgiving... Part 2

The day after Thanksgiving we went to west Texas to see my grandparents. It was Taylor's first trip to Nana and Papa's house. She wasn't as grumpy as the day before, but she still kept really close to me. She wasn't about to let anyone else hold her, except for, occasionally, Grammy. The food was great and we all had a great time. And no almost hitting any deer on the way home this year! Yay!!

Thanksgiving... Part 1

We spent Thanksgiving Day with Blake's family. We all had turkey (even Taylor got a little taste of turkey and some rolls!). Everything was delicious! She had a great time racing Drew down the hall, taking naps with Bebe, and making a mess of Aunt Amber's living room.

Sleepy Time

Taylor has been sleeping with her rear high in the air. Every morning I come in her room to get her up and her butt is straight up. It is hillarious! She also got new pj's. She looks so cute in her "big girl" pajamas. I had to go to the toddlers section for them, because she has grown out of the little babies pj's. It's a little sad!!

Happy Halloween!

Taylor was a caterpillar for her first Halloween! We met her buddies Isabelle and Marshall for pictures and then went to fake "trick-or-treat" at Ms. Jennifer's house. After she had a snack there, we finished our rounds at Aunt Amber's and tried to get her cousins to take Halloween pics in their costumes, but that didn't happen... Oh well. Taylor had a great sugar free first Halloween!

Fun with the Cousins

Taylor went to see her cousin Wyatt's play. She posed for a cute picture with Wyatt and Julie. Taylor also loved playing with her cousins Ryan and Drew. Drew really liked her toy cell phone and she shared most of the time. Taylor loves rough housing with the boys. She will have no trouble keeping up with all her rough and tough boy cousins!

Daddies are so Weird!

Blake trying to entertain Taylor (and himself!) at the Pumpkin Patch.

The Pumpkin Patch

We took Taylor to the Pumpkin Patch inLeander with her friend Isabelle the weekend before Halloween. SHe really didn't know what to think of the pumpkins, but she sure liked eating the stems. We bought her the little pumpkin that she was gnawing on in the picture. Blake had a great time trying to entertain Taylor with the gourds he found at the pumpkin patch. Taylor thought he was hillarious!

Grammy's Birthday

We went out for Grammy's birthday and Taylor had a great time. She loves her Grammy!

Clapping

I forgot to post that Taylor clapped for the first time on Sunday, November 4!! Yayyyyy!!! It was during church, but luckily it wasn't loud, so it didn't disturb anyone. :)

9 month checkup

Taylor had her 9 month checkup yesterday and she is doing great! Besides a little virus that gave her a fever and a rash (not contagious!!) she is very healthy. She weighs 18 lbs and 10 oz. and is 29 inches long!!! The doctor said, "She is one of the tallest little girls I have seen at her age." She is in the 90th percentile in height and 50th in weight. Also, we will be able to start giving her some table food, including small bites of deli meat and soft meat, potatoes, green beans, etc... Thanksgiving dinner, here we come! The doctor said she would probably be walking very soon, considering she is already very mobile and uses her walker a lot. In his words, she is an aggressive baby.
In other news, Blake has ordered the new computer and hopefully it will be up and running before Thanksgiving. I will be uploading SO MANY pictures!!

Pumpkin Baby

Pictures of Taylor and her friend Isabelle in their pumpkin outfits...

The picture of Taylor standing is from a couple of weeks ago. Now she can pull herself up, let go for a couple of seconds, and walk with the walker. She walks 5 or 6 steps (sometimes more!) with the walker before she falls. She looks so proud of herself when she walks, too. She looks around the rooms and finds either me or Blake and smiles SO big as she walks! :)
Taylor is everywhere now. Her favorite thing is to crawl to the dogs' bowl and gather pieces of food in her hand or splash in the water bowl. It is hillarious, but we have to act so serious because it is a no no... we are laughing on the inside, though. :) She also loves to play with the springy door stop by the back door. All we hear for 15 minutes is "BOING, BOING..." Too bad for her, Blake outlawed it. Daddy's no fun!!
As soon as we get the new computer I will add many more pictures. I have taken over 100 pictures since our computer crashed and I have tons to show!!!
Coming soon... the pumpkin patch, Halloween, Grammy's birthday, and more!!!
