Happy Halloween, Y'all!

Taylor and Evan dressed as a cowgirl and cowboy for Halloween. They both looked so cute! We went over to Trick-or-Treat with Ryan and Drew, and all the kids had a great time walking around all the neighborhood.

Booby Covers

As Taylor and I were walking from kids' clothing to groceries in Target, we passed the pajamas/ intimates section. My observant child sees a bra and enthusiastically says, "Look Mommy! It's booby covers, just like you have!"
I am SO glad Target was not busy that day!

Character Book Parade

Today was the Character Book Parade at Winkley. Taylor's class's book was about a pumpkin patch, so they were a pumpkin patch in the parade. You can see Taylor's little paper bag pumpkin Tay made, along with her pumpkin vine hat. They were do cute!

This week is also Red Ribbon Week, so the school has a druf free theme every day this week. Today, it was "Team up against drugs." So, all the kids wore their favorite team shirt or jersey, so Tay wore her UT shirt.

Coming Soon!!! Tomorrow is "Friends don't let friends do drugs" day, so the kids dress up like twins. Look for some pictures of Taylor and two of her friends in her class dressing like twins! :)

Cookie Face

I'm not completely sure how Evan can take 1/4 of a chocolate chip cookie and manage to spread it all over his face. He must be talented.

Happy Birthday, Marissa!

Taylor, Evan, and I went to Marissa's birthday party at the park. The kids had a great time!!  Taylor beat the pinata pretty well, and looked like Luke Skywalker doing it. Evan ran and ran and ran and ran. At one point, he even chased Taylor down the hill. As she was screaming, "No pictures, Mommy!!" and Evan  was screaming "Tay Tay Tay!" It was really cute!

Impromptu Meeting

Grammy, Taylor, and I went to the Leander Craft Market this past weekend and found some cute (and yummy!) stuff. Taylor got a haul, since there were a ton of bow and girlie dress makers there. On our way out, we ran into Diane and Isabelle and the girls got together and decided to ride the train and pet the pony. They got the train all to themselves, so they were lucky enough to ride in the engine part of the train. Then, Taylor was so sweet and gentle with the pony (until she tried to touch it's eyeball to see if it was real). They had a great time. :)

Pumpkin Patch & The Salt Lick- What a day!!

We took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch to pick put some pumpkins. Evan was busy crying the WHOLE time, so he didn't enjoy his time there whatsoever. Taylor LOVED every minute of it! For whatever reason, she loved the weird looking, ugly pumpkins. One pumpkin she pick and insisted on getting was so small and ugly that the poeple selling them gave it to us for free. Yeesh! She insisted, though. Then, she picked another pumpkin that was bigger and cuter, but had bumps all over it. I sure hope her taste in pumpkins isn't a foreshadowing of her taste in men in the future!!

Evan seemed to perk up when we got to the Salt Lick. As Blake would say, "He's definitely a Josselet." He cleaned his plate!

Hook Em Horns

(Keep in mind, these were taken at the beginning of October when Texas didn't stink yet. :) We had a good time at Grammy's party and this game was Texas' last win before the stinkage began.

Like mother, like daughter

So, Taylor and I made cupcakes for Grammy's birthday. Taylor was sooo excited to surprise her, so we spent lots of time mixing and stirring and decorating. Taylor got a little enthusiastic with her stirring and- OOPS!- spilled batter all over the counter. No worries! That's a quick fix. We'll just lick it up, right? Right!

As Tay would say, "Right Mommy??" Me: "Right Taylor!"

Obviously, it was delicious.

What's mine is yours is mine

Evan has taken over lots of Taylor's "baby" stuff, including her chair with her name on it. Evan absolutely loves that chair as he sits and watched Elmo. He also loves her books, especially the farm books. He loves those cows! The "Little People on the Farm" book is his favorite right now and he doesn't have much patience for any others. I think it's because the other books don't have the cook flaps to open up. Taylor really doesn't mind sharing. I though it was so cute when I walked in her room and saw her "reading" to Evan. :)

My Belly Button

A few pictures chronicling Evan's brief, but intense belly button obsession...

Taylor's First Day at School... (pre-school)

Monday, August 16 was Taylor's first day at Winkley Elementary's ELE program. It is a program for school employee's kids to come and be mentors for young students who need extra help before starting Kinder or Pre-K. Taylor is one of 5 teacher's kids. She was SO excited to go to school, have her own princess backpack & lunchbox, and be able to play on the playground every day! "I am a big girl now, Mommy, I go to school," is what she says. Too cute. The first day she had a little trouble with being bossy and not listening (go figure), but now is doing great and loving school, her teachers, and her new friends.

Beanie Baby

Evan LOVES re-fried beans and eats them all the time!! He eats SO many re-fried beans that I am sure he will turn into one pretty soon! He is so excited when I put them in front of him and he is a VERY enthusiastic eater. A bath is always on the agenda immediately after the bean experience!

Evan loves Elmo, too!

Evan is getting to the age where he loves Elmo's Wrold, too! Taylor saw him watching it and decided to sit with him and watch it with him, Too cute!

Rollin' with the Homies

We took Taylor, Evan, Drew, and Ryan to the splash pad one day over the summer. The kids all had a great time and Evan couldn't get enough on the sprinklers. It seemed like the bigger kids liked the mushroom fountain best because they could sit under it and not get wet. (So cool) All 4 of  the kids played so well together!! It was so hot, that the kids got pooped really fast, and Evan's pants were a little too big and kept falling down, so we went to McDonald's for lunch a little earlier than expected. The kids had a  fun day!
