Evan went in for his 9 month check up last week. He is still off the charts in height- 100% ++!! He is 30 1/4 inches. He is also 21 lbs., which is 50%. Healthy as a horse. He is sleeping from about 8 PM until about 6 or 7 am. He will go back to sleep until about 8 if we give him a bottle and put him back to bed. :) NICE! Evan loves the strawberry Gerber yogurt. He just can't get enough. We are about ready for him to stop taking formula and start drinking whole milk... 2 more months!! Then, we will be RICH from all of the money we will be saving from the $27 a can formula!! haha
Taylor went in for her 3 year check, as well. She was 29 lbs., still in the 25%, and in the 50th for height. Also healthy as a horse. She is taking after her daddy in eating preferences. She loves brisket, sausage (she calls it "hosage"), brown beans, and potatoes, cantaloupe, and HATES brocolli and salad. Definitely not her Mommy's kid... However, she does LOVE tostadas with guacamole and lots of cheese, just like Mommy! :) Her latest craze is having a "prize" after she "eats her dinner all." She is very satisfied with a simple "prize" like a couple of scoops of Cool Whip, cantaloupe, or a Simply Fruit Roll Up (the healthy kind).

Playing with Tay and Toys
Evan is finally reaching the point where he really loves playing with toys and with Taylor. They are so cute laughing together. Now that he is getting around better, they really have lots of fun on the floor. They love each other so much.
Taylor's Pirate Ship
Taylor made a Pirate Ship out of Blake's Magnetix. It actually does look like a ship a little. She said that the ship had a hat and little balls at the bottom of the ship were gumballs for the pirates to eat. haha Sounds like a well stocked ship to me. Gumballs and a hat... What more could you need out at sea?
On a different note, if you are wondering why in so many pictures, Taylor is wearing tank tops... The girl is obsessed with them! She wants to wear tank tops every day and to bed. She wants to have "the both same" like Mommy and Daddy when we work out or run. As soon as we get home from Miss Ellen's, church, or anywhere a tank top might not be cute or appropriate, she immediately insists on putting one on. Good thing summer is coming. Crazy, crazy, crazy.
Taylor loves Feeding Evan...
Taylor is such a big helper. She helps feed him his baby food, even though she is still a little too short. I think her favorite part of feeding Evan is stealing bites of baby food for herself. She asks me what I am feeding her, then, usually if it is green beans or squash, she will volunteer her services. As youc an see, Evan gets a little messier than usual when his big sister feeds him.
My Baby's Crawling!!
Evan was so lazy for so long, I was starting to wonder if he would EVER get the desire to crawl. He tried a few times when he saw his paci or a toy he wanted (or even the dogs) across the room, but never did much about it. Every now and again, he would scoot and sort of roll on his butt over to where he wanted to be. He could get around, but not in the traditional way. That was ok with me, I suppose. Then, one day, I went to get the kids at Ellen's and he crawled across the room to me with the biggest smile on his face!! I was so excited! Ever since then, he has been a moving machine! Even is everywhere and fast! He aslo likes to bear crawl on his hands and his feet with his butt straight up in the air. He is pulling up on the couch occasionally to stand up, which he loves. He so wants to hang up high with Taylor!
Playing Horsey
Taylor and Isabelle had a blast treating "Uncle Bictor" like a horse. The girls giggled and giggled. Victor was a good sport. :)
