A Day at the Park
Since Blake is on vacation, we have tried to do things we wouldn't normally get to do during the day. It has been raining so much that we haven't been able to get outside much, but we took advantage of a break in the clouds to take Taylor and the puppies to the park down the street from our house. We played fetch with the dogs and their tennis ball and they loved it. They got SO dirty, but they had a blast. Then Blake and I threw the Frisbee for a while. One thing is for sure... I stink at throwing stuff. I throw like a big weenie and if there was an entry in the dictionary of "throwing like a girl" my picture would be there. Taylor sat and watched from her stroller before she passed out. Nate was struggling and after a few ball retrievals, he just flopped in the middle of the field. I am sure he found the coolest mud hole around and plopped himself right in it. He was so dirty and tired. He decided to hitch a ride home in Taylor's stroller basket. It was hilarious! He lounged in the basket all the way home like he was in a horse drawn carriage. Lexie was still very excited and pranced all the way home.

Sitting up... sort of
We have really been working on sitting up. Taylor can balance herself for a little bit and then she falls over or she leans forward onto her hands and tries to crawl away... but she hasn't got that down quite yet. She is really good at balancing and then catching herself on my legs. She was so proud of herself and she was smiling SO big, but then she had to put her "concentrating" face on again (the mouth open face in the pictures!)

Roley Poley
Taylor finally rolled from her back to her tummy today! She was playing on her Baby Einstien mat and I looked over and she was on her stomach! Then she rolled over again back to her back!! You can see in the pictures how much she moved (she was in the middle of the mat to begin with!) She will be rolling everywhere very soon! Scary!!!

"Sometimes we get bored...
and Mommy decides to have a field day with the camera." Taylor was obviously not to thrilled about our little photo session. We took several, and with only me to take the pictures of both of us, they didn't turn out so well. But I like to think that they are more artistic than a mess up! So, yes, my missing eye in picture #1 is on purpose! :P
All My New Friends
Taylor is beginning to notice and watch Nate and Lexie play, and they are starting to notice her noticing them. So... she is getting a lot of attention from the dogs lately. She loves it! She watches them and she laughs and talks, and that makes them come over and give her puppy kisses. She just giggles some more! It is so cute!
We went to have lunch with at Chuy's with Lacey today and she had fun. She was really good and got to sit in "Auntie Lacey's" lap. Taylor and Lacey found that they had something in common, besides the love of shopping and Chuy's... they both have a difficult time keeping their denim skirts from riding up to their armpits! Taylor had the worst time keeping that skirt around her little waist!

Pooped
4th of July Baby
Taylor looked so cute in her little 4th of July outfut! Even though we didn't go to the park and watch the fireworks, as planned, the rain didn't stop us from dressing her up in her little patriotic outfit! We had dinner with Victor & Diane, and Taylor's little friend Isabelle and saw some fireworks set off by some people in the neighborhood.
