Fun with Bebe and Rondad

Taylor took her first trip to Blake's parent's house in Weatherford this weekend. She stayed with them while Blake and I went to Six Flags and then we all went to the Stockyards in Ft. Worth. We had REALLY delicious steaks and Taylor met her first horse, to which she showed no emotion. She will love them one day. She also had her first experience with rice cereal. She was very fussy about it and kept spiting it out. Not her favorite, apparently, but we will keep trying. She is supposed to start rice cereal and oatmeal now so that she will be ready for veggies in August! What a big girl!!

All Dressed Up

We went to cousin Jamie's wedding today and little Miss Taylor got all dressed up! She got to see Granny, Aunt Donna, Aunt Jenny, Rondad & Bebe, and lots of cousins. We also took some family pics since we were all dressed up for the occasion.

Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner!

I found this shirt at Carter's and I thought it was PERFECT! As most of you know, Dirty Dancing is my favorite movie of ALL time and "nobody puts Baby in the corner" is a famous qoute from that movie. I just thought that this little onesie was perfect for Taylor in honor of Mommy's favorite movie! SO CUTE!!

Nap time

Taylor was so sleepy she fell asleep on Blake's chest. I thought these pictures were really cute. Of course, Lexie had to check and make sure everything was ok! :)

4 Month Update

After she turned over... this is her shocked expression!

Taylor had her 4 month checkup this morning. She is in perfect health! She weighs 13 lbs. 13 oz. and is 25 inches long! She is able to start eating rice and oatmeal cereal next month! Wow!! I guess July will start the messy mouth era! The dr. also said she could start going into the swimming pool and she can play in the shallow water at the beach! How exciting!

Poor baby had 4 shots today (you can see her little band-aids in the picture)! She has been a little grumpy and sleepy, but I expected that. Otherwise, she has had no reaction (let's hope it stays that way!!) And for some awesome news... Taylor rolled over today! She was on her tummy on her play mat and she just turned right over like a pancake! I was shocked, so I had to cheer for her. We clapped and cheered together. She was very talkative after that and she left her *very* short first voicemail on Bebe and Rondad's answering machine! :) What a BIG girl!
Playing with the camera string:)

Takin' a Walk

Today we took a walk around the neighborhood. The dr. said that she couldn't wear sunblock until at least 6 months, so I put this adorable hat on her! She looked SO cute!

Chef or Sheik?

This evening I was taking Taylor's little gown off to put her in a new one (because Blake played"Boo!" with her so much she spit up everywhere... but that's another story). I think she looks so funny when I am taking off her gown and it gets stuck on her head. We usually call her the flying nun because it hangs off the back of her head like a nun's habit. But this time, her gown got all bunched up. In person, and from my perspective, she looked like a little chef, but when Blake took the pictures she looked like a sheik in a headdress. Hilarious!!!

The Domain

Today was Taylor's first shopping trip to The Domain. We had a great time! Taylor really loved the rock waterfall fountain because it made lots of noise. We took a few pictures by it and we got lucky that she faced the camera long enough to snap some pictures. She just stared and stared at the waterfall. She also met a puppy that was 1 month older than her. She loves to look at puppies! The puppy and her owner were by the fountain at the same time we were taking pictures and eating a tasty formula meal. Taylor's least favorite part was Neiman Marcus. She slept through it, and I have to agree that it was not the highlight of our day! All of the ladies in Tiffany just loved her. She slept at first, but woke up just in time to look at the diamonds... go figure!

Tummy Time!

Taylor has been working so hard to push herself up and stay there for length of time. She actually stayed on her tummy with her head up, looking arounf for almost 7 minutes! And I just love her little "bear" bottom onesie!

My Favorite Thing to do with Daddy

Taylor's favorite thing to do with Blake is to fly in the air. She grins and giggles when he puts her above his head. At first, she really doesn't know what to think, but her reation on the way down is adorable. They LOVE playing together!

Just Plain Cute!

No real reason behind these pictures... I just thought they were precious! And if you know me at all, you know I love feet and that having cute feet is important to me! (Weird, I know) Taylor has very cute feet!!! :)

Lexie: Mom #2

Lexie is always hanging out with Taylor. She watches over her especially when she is on the floor or in her swing because she is more accessible in those places, I think. In the mornings before we get up, Lexie is the first one to wake up if Taylor is crying or talking to her bunny mobile, and she is always checking on her if she cries during the day. She tries to lick her to make her feel better (which is a little nasty, but sweet). Here are a few pictures of the ever present Mommy #2, Lexie.

Giggle, Gurgle, Smile

Taylor has been talking nonstop over the last week. She loves to coo, gurgle, and squeal. It is the cutest thing and she sounds like she is the happiest baby in the world. She loves to talk to me, to her bunny mobile in her crib (I hear her talking to them over the baby monitor in the mornings), to her favorite bunny Rae, and to the jungle animals on her swing. The baby just LOVES to talk!

She has also been "belly laughing" a lot! She has the sweetest laugh and smile. She loves it when Blake "scares" her... she likes to get "BOO!!"ed and she loves to play peek-a-boo. We have had comments from perfect strangers about how Taylor is the happiest baby!

These are a few pictures of Taylor talking to various things and people. :) (Check out Blake being a dork in the picture with Nana! How very Blake!) She got to see Nana and Papa at a family reunion on Saturday. She just talked and talked to them! It was adorable!

"This Baby is Finally Good for Something!"

Sebastian has finally found a good reason to keep Taylor around. Before, he was indifferent to her existence, but now, he has discovered that we get fun boxes to play in because of her! He was in this box for a good portion of last night!
